Front Garden In Horsham, Sussex
Fairly new housing estate with inherited plants and small piece of grass, which never looked its best. Brief was to enhance front garden and cut down on maintenance of grass, plus to provide plants that are deer-proof, as faces woodland. A berberis hedge has been planted around edge of garden, low maintenance plants have been used, which are deer-proof and which provide all year round interest. A mulch of wood chippings retains moisture and keeps weeds at bay.
